67905 (2024). Rachel Boyack to the Minister for ACC
Written Question

67905 (2024). Rachel Boyack to the Minister for ACC: Is the ACC correct in asserting that the deficit has been caused by court decisions, higher costs and volumes and declining rehabilitation performance; if so, what was the impact of declining rehabilitation performance on the deficit, expressed as a dollar figure?
Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised this is correct. Increases in ACC’s Outstanding Claims Liability (OCL) associated with court decisions, higher costs and volumes and declining rehabilitation performance are the primary factor driving the deficit. The attached table shows the key factors influencing the OCL, expressed as both dollar figures and percentages.
