Hon Mark Mitchell: Like many other agencies and businesses, Corrections has experienced a number of staffing challenges over the last few years. Corrections’ recruitment campaign is ongoing and I have been assured that hiring and training frontline staff will remain a top priority for Corrections. I refer the member to the attached table, which shows the number and percentage of employment positions in prisons that were vacant broken down by position title and prison, as at 31 August 2024.
