51561 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Education: What new or renewed office leases have been entered into since 1 January 2024 by any agency for which the Minister is responsible, if any, and for each lease, what is the total cost, term, floor area, and current occupancy rate?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the Member to the attached tables showing new or renewed office leases entered into since 1 January 2024 by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) and the Education Review Office (ERO). Please note the Ministry leases office buildings based on a 8/10 staff ratio (or less).ERO does not have the current occupancy rates for these leases and carparks are not included. I am advised that the New Zealand Qualifications Authority has not entered any new or renewed office leases since January 2024. I am advised that Education New Zealand has not entered any new or renewed existing lease agreements since 1 January 2024.
