43653 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many state homes, if any, were Kāinga Ora expecting to deliver in 2025/26 at 1 January 2025, at 1 April 2025 and at 1 July 2025?

Hon Chris Bishop: I refer the Member to the attached table. The data from December 2024 reflects Kāinga Ora’s internal estimates of projects that were in the pipeline and in the process of being confirmed. At that time, the pipeline included projects that exceeded delivery metrics in certain areas. Kainga Ora paused several of these projects for further due diligence in the organisation’s focus on fiscal efficiency. From March 2025 onwards, Kainga Ora began rebuilding the pipeline with projects that meet revised and optimised delivery metrics. This refreshed pipeline has continued to grow in preparation for FY26, and Kainga Ora are actively adding further projects for delivery.
