Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Customs: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many roles, if any, have been identified for disestablishment, listed by role title, remuneration band, and business group (or equivalent organisational unit), between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that for the period 27 November 2023 to 10 July 2024, the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) has identified positions for disestablishment resulting from Customs’ organisational change programme and six positions that were disestablished through separate restructures in the December 2023 to January 2024 period. I refer the Member to the attached table which provides a breakdown of positions for disestablishment, broken down by role titles, remuneration bands, and business groups.
