Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What does, if at all, the Minister project the Jobseeker (single, 25+) benefit rate rate to be over the next four financial years, and the benefit rate if it were indexed to average wage growth, following the updated forecasts in Budget 2024?

Hon Louise Upston: I refer the member to the attached tables which provide the projected forecast benefit rates over the next four financial years, and the benefit rate if it were indexed to an after-tax average wage growth for Supported Living Payment (single, 18+) and Jobseeker Support (single, 25+) respectively. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 38015 (2024).
