37236 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What number and percentage of employment positions by FTE and headcount within Corrections, if any, were vacant as of 31 May 2024, broken down by employment position and prison site?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Like many other agencies and businesses, Corrections has experienced a number of staffing challenges over the last few years. Corrections’ recruitment campaign is ongoing and I have been assured that hiring and training frontline staff will remain a top priority for Corrections. I refer the member to the attached table, which shows the number and percentage of employment positions in prisons that were vacant broken down by position title and prison, as at 31 May 2024. This is also my response to question 37232 (2024).
