Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What commercial land sales, if any, have been initiated or completed by Kāinga Ora at Hobsonville Point, Northcote, Roskill, Oranga, Māngere, Tāmaki, Lakeside, and Te Rā Nui since December 2023, broken down by urban development large-scale project?

Hon Chris Bishop: Commercial land sales in the Large Scale Projects and other land development projects such as Hobsonville Point and Lakeside deliver additional land to increase housing supply. These projects deliver a tenure mix in masterplanned neighbourhoods of social housing (delivered by Kāinga Ora and CHPs) and / or market housing delivered through partnering with developers via the commercial land sales to achieve desired urban development outcomes. I refer the Member to the attachment for a list of sale in these projects since December 2023.
