32846 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What has been the attrition rate , if any, for probation officers over the last year, broken down by region?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections’ strong focus on recruitment has seen excellent results over the last 18 months, particularly with the launch of a recruitment campaign in February 2024. This campaign has been very successful, with Corrections receiving more than 117,000 applications. I refer the member to the attached table which provides the turnover of Probation Officer positions for the last 12 months, as at 30 June 2025, broken down by region.
