24138 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Corrections: Of any proposed redundancies to their responsible agencies to meet the a public sector saving initiative, if any, how many directly provide a service to customers, as at 30 May 2024?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that as at 30 May 2024, no staff have been made redundant, and Corrections does not have redundancies planned at this time, however, as part of the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, 107 vacant back-office roles have been removed from establishment. I refer the member to the attached table, which provides the vacant back-office roles that have been removed from establishment, broken down by service group, region and remuneration grade, as at 30 May 2024. This is also my response to WPQ 24162 (2024), WPQ 24170 (2024), WPQ 24179 (2024), WPQ 24224 (2024), WPQ 24232 (2024), WPQ 24756 (2024), WPQ 24795 (2024), WPQ 24798 (2024), WPQ 24800 (2024), WPQ 24830 (2024), WPQ 24864 (2024), WPQ 25389 (2024), WPQ 25409 (2024), WPQ 25420 (2024), WPQ 25422 (2024), WPQ 25455 (2024), WPQ 25497 (2024), WPQ 26247 (2024), WPQ 25262 (2024), WPQ 26263 (2024), WPQ 26266 (2024), WPQ 26291 (2024), 26772 (2024), WPQ 26851 (2024), WPQ 26870 (2024), WPQ 26898 (2024), 26899 (2024), WPQ 26914 (2024) and WPQ 27487 (2024).
