Camilla Belich to the Minister of Health: What property leases, if any, have been entered into, renewed, or exited by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, address, annual rent, lease term, and whether the decision to enter, renew, or exit was part of a broader office consolidation programme?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that since 27 November 2023, the Ministry of Health has renewed one property lease. The lease relates to the Ministry’s premises at 650 Great South Road, Ellerslie, Auckland. The lease commenced on 15 December 2023 for a term of two years, with rights of renewal of a further 2+1+1 years. The annual rent from commencement was $359,384 plus GST. The Ministry exercised its first right of renewal on 15 December 2025. Following renewal, the annual rent is $377,577.82 plus GST. The decision to renew the lease was not part of a broader office consultation programme. I refer the Member to the attached table for Health New Zealand's requested information.
