Camilla Belich to the Minister of Education: What property leases, if any, have been entered into, renewed, or exited by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, address, annual rent, lease term, and whether the decision to enter, renew, or exit was part of a broader office consolidation programme?

Hon Erica Stanford: The information sought by the Member is not held centrally or collated by the Ministry of Education in a way that is readily reportable in the timeframe available to respond to written parliamentary questions. I am advised that the New Zealand Qualifications Authority has not entered into, renewed or exited any property leases since 2023. Education New Zealand (ENZ) has staff based both in New Zealand and offshore. I am advised that ENZ offshore staff are co-located within New Zealand embassies or Consulates-General and ENZ holds service agreements with both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. With the exception of the below office in Shanghai, ENZ does not directly lease these properties. This lease was not part of a broader office consolidation programme • Address: New Zealand Consulate-General Units 2801-2802A and 2806-2810 28F Building Five Corporate Avenue 150 Hubin Road, Huangpu District Shanghai 200031 • Annual Rent: $43,261.40 • Lease term: Two years.
