82367 (2024). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: From the time that MPI was notified of the outbreak of the highly pathogenic strain of H7N6, how many hours and minutes did it take for the Minister of Biosecurity to be notified?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) was notified of the first concerns regarding the health of the poultry on the farm on the afternoon of Friday 29 November. I received notification Friday afternoon. MPI’s National Animal Health Laboratory notified the confirmation of high pathogenicity avian influenza H7N6 the evening of Sunday 1 December 2024. I received notification Sunday evening.
