82351 (2024). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Agriculture: How, if at all, will the Minister ensure that farmers have timely and equitable access to biotechnologies such as methane vaccines?

Hon Todd McClay: This Government has a comprehensive approach to supporting the development and commercialisation of mitigation technologies, as highlighted in Emissions Reduction Plan 2. I note also that New Zealand is one step closer to being able to better benefit from gene technology, with the passing of the first reading of the Gene Technology Bill on 17 December 2024.
