Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: What steps, if any, is the Minister taking to ensure Māori perspectives, particularly those related to cultural and economic impacts, are considered in biosecurity decision-making processes, especially in relation to marine pests like Caulerpa?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I have received feedback from a number of iwi, coastal communities, fishers and others on the impacts of exotic Caulerpa. I have committed $15 million of new investment into the battle against exotic Caulerpa.
