82323 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What steps is the Minister or the Department of Corrections taking to develop a dedicated Young Adult Plan for under-25s, as recommended in the Young People and Young Adults Thematic Inspection Report?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections has a clear focus on improving the lives and outcomes of people in prisons, and ensuring their services meet the needs of young people and young adults. I am further advised that Corrections continues to work through the recommendations, with decisions on sequencing and resource allocation yet to be made. Corrections’ final response and ongoing updates will be published publicly as per a recommendation in the report.
