82297 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Associate Minister of Health: How are the unintended consequences for the Rainbow community, if any arise, from the public consultation on the use of puberty blockers in young people with gender-related health needs going to be managed?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the Ministry of Health is leading the consultation on the use of puberty blockers in young people with gender identity issues, including the public consultation. I have confidence that the Ministry will respond appropriately to any unintended consequences should any arise.
