82295 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Prime Minister: How many Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet staff are currently assigned to, or working in the Auckland Policy Office and what are their job titles, responsibilities and FTE’s?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency hosted by DPMC.
I am advised that as of 18 December 2024 DPMC has four full-time equivalent staff working in the Auckland Policy Office. This includes a Chief Advisor, Principal Advisor, Senior Advisor and Advisor. Staff are engaged in a range of matters relating to the Prime Minister and the Minister for National Security and Intelligence portfolios.
I am advised that as of 18 December 2024, NEMA has six full-time equivalent staff working in the Auckland Policy Office. This includes a Senior Advisor Operational Readiness, a
Senior Technical Writer, a Senior Advisor Capability Development, a Senior Advisor Planning, a Senior Regional Emergency Management Advisor, and a Regional Emergency Management Advisor. Staff are engaged in a range of matters relating to the Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio.
