82278 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Infrastructure: How many New Zealand Infrastructure Commission staff are currently assigned to, or working in the Auckland Policy Office and what are their job titles, responsibilities and FTE’s?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am informed that Te Waihanga/the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission has five Auckland-based staff housed in the Auckland Policy Office shared office space. These staff work as part of the wider Infrastructure Commission teams on national work programmes and are not assigned specifically to the Auckland Policy Office. The ability to work from the Auckland Policy Office has provided a wider recruitment pool for the Commission, as they can employ staff who live either in Wellington or Auckland. The other advantage is that interaction with twenty other Government agencies informs the Commission’s work, especially on matters related to Auckland infrastructure when they arise. Their job titles are as follows: General Manager, Policy Senior Advisor, Infrastructure Delivery Director, Construction Productivity Principal Advisor, Policy Principal Economist
