82237 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Housing: What policy work, if any, is Kainga Ora currently undertaking in coordination with the Auckland Policy Office, listed alphabetically?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities advises me that the Auckland Policy Office does not independently direct policy work. Instead, it provides a shared space that enables agencies to work in proximity, fostering collaboration on public policy and operational matters affecting Auckland, as well as wider Government work programmes. Any policy work involving Kāinga Ora would be carried out as part of its own mandate, in collaboration with other agencies as required. I refer the member to the response to WPQ 82199 (2024) for further information on the APO.
