82227 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Economic Development: What role(s) and responsibilities, if any, does the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment currently fulfil within the Auckland Policy Office, listed alphabetically?
Hon Melissa Lee: The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) hosts the Auckland Policy Office (APO), and provides support services and employs four shared staff roles. The four shared staff roles are:
• Head of the APO (1 FTE)
• APO Operations Manager (1 FTE)
• APO Business Support (1 FTE)
• APO Business Support (1 FTE)
In addition, MBIE employs the attached 21 staff whose primary place of work is the Auckland Policy Office. These personnel work across a number of Ministerial portfolios including Auckland; Building and Construction; Commerce and Consumer Affairs; Economic Development; Immigration; Science, Innovation and Technology; Small Business and Manufacturing; and Workplace Relations and Safety.
