Rt Hon Winston Peters: As noted in the New Zealand Railways Corporation Annual Report 2024, the Corporation does not have any employees. The Corporation has entered into a Management Agreement under which KiwiRail provides corporate and administrative services to the Corporation for a nominal charge. The Corporation is required by the NZRC Act to have a General Manager. This role is usually performed by the General Counsel of KiwiRail at no cost to the Corporation.
