Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: Further to 8349, following the Government’s decision regarding the Inter-Island Resilient Connection project as announced by the Minister of Finance on 11 December 2023, can the cost to taxpayers, if any, for residual contractual obligations between KiwiRail and international contractors now be quantified?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: No, KiwiRail is still in negotiations and these negotiations are commercial sensitive.
