82155 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Corrections: In respect of Reply 78819 (2024) what are the actual dimensions of the smallest cell in use, and in which prison is it?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the smallest cell in use is 6m2, not 5.9m2 as I had been advised at the time of my response to WPQ 78819 (2024). The dimensions of the smallest cell in use is 2.2m x 2.75m and is based at Invercargill Prison. The cell is equipped with a toilet and sink. This is also my response to WPQ 82313 (2024).
