82095 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: Does the Minister think that regardless of what ships are purchased to replace the Cook Strait ferries, upgrades to the port infrastructure to accommodate them will still be required?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Yes. Port companies have been clear that some level of upgrade is necessary as existing infrastructure reaches the end of its useful life.
