82073 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What was the average time it took to process visa applications, if any, during the week of 2nd December 2024; broken down by visa type?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the Member to the attached document. I am advised Accredited Employer Work Visa median processing times for the months of November and December show an increase mainly due to an update in the order of processing that allowed for processing of applications previously held until nearer to the expiry of the existing visa. This cohort is shown in the table as Maximum Continuous Stay (MCS) applications. I am advised additional staff have been allocated to this specific cohort and as a result, decisions on this cohort’s applications increased in December.
