82046 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How many applications, if any, have been made to amend the sex or gender marker on a birth certificate between 1 October 2024 and 30 November 2024 broken down by month?

Hon Brooke van Velden: In October 2024 there were 45 applications received to change a registered sex on the New Zealand Birth Register and in November 2024 there were 57 applications.
