82020 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: How many maintenance issues, if any, have been detected on Interislander vessels, from 1 November 2024 to 17 December 2024?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: This is an operational issue for KiwiRail. KiwiRail complies with all legislative requirements for the safe operation of its ferries. KiwiRail will inform me, and other relevant Ministers, of any issues regarding maintenance issues that meet the threshold for a “no surprises” briefing to shareholding Ministers.
