Hon Paul Goldsmith: The Telecommunications Service Obligations (TSO) footprint, including fax availability, covers premises that received the copper based local residential telephone service on 20 December 2001. A recent variation to the Chorus TSO deed to address the technological obsolescence of the Customer Multi Access Radio and Country Set technologies will reduce the availability of facsimile services by around 485 premises as Chorus replaces these technologies with modern equivalents in 2025.
