81962 (2024). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What, if any, is the budgeted cost of drafting and implementing the Employment Relations (Pay Deductions for Partial Strikes) Amendment Bill?
Hon Brooke van Velden: The work on the Employment Relations (Pay Deductions for Partial Strikes) Amendment Bill is being undertaken by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as part of its standard policy work. Accordingly, the costs of the work are being met through MBIE’s baselines. I am advised that MBIE does not hold data on the costs of individual policy projects, and it is not possible to separate out the salary cost of MBIE staff working on the Employment Relations (Pay Deductions for Partial Strikes) Amendment Bill from other work they are undertaking. MBIE does, however, report on its total baseline appropriations each financial year.
