81933 (2024). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What consultation, if any, has the Minister had with BusinessNZ, Employers and Manufacturers Association, Chambers of Commerce or any other business groups regarding the minimum wage rate for 2025?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment consulted Business NZ on potential changes to the minimum wage rates to take effect in April 2025. Business NZ was invited to provide a written submission on the 2024 Minimum Wage Review. Consultation outside of government was limited to the social partners (Business NZ and NZCTU), as per standard practice for a streamlined minimum wage review.
