81908 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Is it correct that urology services are being discontinued at Wairarapa hospital, and if so, why?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: No. However, I am advised that a private urology provider servicing Wairarapa has resigned. Starting in 2025, Health New Zealand urologists will provide services to Wairarapa, MidCentral, and Whanganui Districts through a hub and spoke model.
