Hon Todd McClay: MPI’s ‘Improving our Efficiency’ process carefully identified areas where change could be made to improve and strengthen the delivery of their core functions. MPI did not make any reductions to frontline services or statutory roles, such as veterinarians, animal welfare, forestry managers, fishery and food compliance officers, or biosecurity teams at the border.
