81870 (2024). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: Has MPI provided advice to the Minister of Biosecurity regarding funding challenges specifically regarding preparedness for medium to large scale incursions, ad if so, what advice has been provided?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The Minister has had conversations and briefings on FMD and HPAI. These include economic impact, strategy and the mandate to enter into operational agreements with industry partners under the Government Industry Agreement (GIA) to ensure that all stakeholders pay their share.
