81865 (2024). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: Has MPI advised on providing further Government funding to address Caulerpa, if so, what was this advice?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The Ministry for Primary Industries has provided a range of advice on funding to address exotic caulerpa, and on management of it generally. In August, I announced a decision to further boost the response by $10,000,000, with a particular focus on removal tool development to undertake local-level elimination at selected locations where feasible.
