Hon Nicola Grigg: Yes. I regularly meet with my officials to discuss matters within my portfolio. The Ministry for Primary Industries’ Strategic Intentions 2024-2028 states that MPI will continue to develop and deliver their services, so that they are more efficient, effective, and responsive to all who need and use them. MPI will continue to support New Zealand’s primary sector to achieve our vision for New Zealand to be the world’s most trusted provider of high-value food and fibre products. The Ministry for Primary Industries published the Situation and Outlook for Primary Industries (SOPI) December 2024 which forecasts food and fibre export revenue to reach $56.9 billion in the year to 30 June 2025, and lifting to a record $58.3 billion in the year to 30 June 2026.
