81786 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What changes, if any, is the Minister proposing to the climate disclosures regime?

Hon Andrew Bayly: On Friday 13 December 2024, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment issued a public consultation on possible adjustments to the climate-related disclosures regime, including whether the thresholds for reporting for listed issuers and investment scheme managers should be changed, whether the director liability settings should be adjusted to help ensure that the objectives of the regime are being met and whether New Zealand subsidiaries of multinational companies should file their parent company climate statements in New Zealand.
