81785 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What elements of the Australian climate disclosures regime, if any, does the Minister believe New Zealand should adopt?

Hon Andrew Bayly: The Australian and New Zealand regimes use different metrics for calculating whether an entity needs to produce climate reports. The Minister considers that there should be better alignment between the Australian and New Zealand climate-related disclosures regimes including in relation to reporting thresholds. There may other ways that we can align in the future.
