81783 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Has Minister asked MBIE for analysis on whether New Zealand should move away from the current tests that define who is a climate reporting entity, and if not, why not?

Hon Andrew Bayly: On Friday 13 December 2024, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment issued a public consultation on possible adjustments to the climate-related disclosures regime, including whether the thresholds for reporting for listed issuers and investment scheme managers should be changed. Following the consultation and analysis of submissions MBIE will provide their advice about whether there should be changes to the regime.
