81617 (2024). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 9 December 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 9-13 December 2024: • Exercise Pandora Congratulations Letters, 10 December 2024 • Proactive Release Strengthening Disaster Resilience and Emergency Management: Legislative Implications, 12 December 2024 • Fortnightly Status Report to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, 13 December 2024 • Report on use of powers during the local transition period over the Marlborough District, 13 December 2024 • Meeting with Ministers and the Independent Reference Group on the adaptation framework, 13 December 2024. • Cyclone Recovery Unit Fortnightly Report, 13 December 2024. I received three documents on 9 December 2024 and another two on 12 December 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the title of these documents. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister I have received the following document: • Cyclone Recovery Weekly Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 12 December 2024. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and the DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
