81410 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 9 December 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from
9 – 13 December 2024 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC):
• Further decisions to drive economic growth through science, innovation and technology, 9 December 2024
• Minister for Rail – New Ministerial Portfolio, 10 December 2024
• New Year 2025 Honours List (NY2025): Oral Item for Cabinet, 11 December 2024
• Results of targeted engagement for the next Cyber Security Strategy, 12 December 2024
• Prime Minister’s Weekly Brief, 13 December 2024
• Approval to Adjust Appropriation, 13 December 2024
• Quarterly Plan Q4 – Report as at 13 December, 13 December 2024
• Quarterly Plan Q4 –Closeout Notes, 13 December 2024
I also received four documents within the specified timeframe however it is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
In addition, jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I have received the following document:
• Cyclone Recovery Weekly Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 12 December 2024.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
