Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 on the recommended focus area ‘Te Aho o Te Kahu to continue to develop, implement and monitor a Cancer Information Plan to ensure quality system-level data and information is available for sound decision making’ under ‘System-wide solution 2: National system leadership’ in the Cancer Control Agency ’Cancer Services Planning’ document?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (April to June 2024) progress has continued with the development of the CanShare cancer information initiative that will serve as the foundation for a quality system level data and information.
