Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 on the recommended focus area ‘Develop and implement a future focused approach to the cancer workforce that includes access to continuing education’ under ‘System-wide solution 4: Workforce’ in the Cancer Control Agency ’Cancer Services Planning’ document?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the Health Workforce Plan 2024 has been published, and it confirms future-focused priority workforce actions.  I am further advised that on 11 November 2024, Health New Zealand launched its Cancer Medicine recruitment campaign pages.
