Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 on the recommended focus area ‘Ensure that the sustainability of essential services provided by cancer not-for-profit organisations is considered and supported in national cancer service planning’ under ‘System-wide solution 5: Coordination and support services’ in the Cancer Control Agency ’Cancer Services Planning’ document?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (April to June 2024), the Cancer Control Agency has not had a specific work programme to 'ensure that the sustainability of essential services provided by cancer not-for-profit organisations is considered and supported in national cancer service planning'. However, CCA is committed to engaging with not-for-profit organisations to promote sustainability of and support for their contribution to the provision of essential cancer services.
