81103 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 to ‘Partner with government, the health sector, academia and international experts to build collaborative and coordinated information’ under Outcome 1: New Zealanders have a system that delivers consistent and modern cancer care, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (July to September 2024) the Cancer Control Agency (CCA) continued to work closely with Health NZ, Pharmac and the Ministry of Health to progress planning for the implementation of the medicines funded as a result of the Government's transformative investment in cancer treatments and more new medicines. Additionally, during this quarter CCA made contact with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Australia to discuss their utilisation of Nurses in the delivery of chemotherapy.
