81099 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 to ‘Increase kaupapa Māori research and evaluation capacity and capabilities’ under Outcome 1: New Zealanders have a system that delivers consistent and modern cancer care, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (July to September 2024), the Cancer Control Agency continued to support kaupapa Māori research and evaluation being led by two partners, the National Child Cancer Network and Hei Āhuru Mōwai. Additionally, planning was undertaken to convene a national 'Research to Action' hui which will bring together a wide range of the research community, including a number of kaupapa Māori researchers.
