Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 to ‘Co-design stop smoking services with young Māori women’ under Outcome 3: New Zealanders have fewer cancers, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in November 2024, a new ‘Getting to Smokefree 2025’ plan was released, which sets out our priorities and approach for the next year. It will focus on key intervention points along the smokefree continuum and target those populations with the highest smoking rates.
