Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 to ‘Develop a strategy to address H. pylori infection in priority populations’ under Outcome 3: New Zealanders have fewer cancers, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (July to September 2024) the population prevalence research continues, undertaken by the Cancer and Chronic Conditions research group (C3) at University of Otago, linked to the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
