Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Quality improvement programmes developed to address variation within Cancer Control Agency Optimal Cancer Care Pathways' included on page 8 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised optimal cancer care pathways have been developed by the Cancer Control Agency for breast, bowel, lung, pancreatic, and urology cancer. I am further advised that Health New Zealand is continuing work to understand current unwarranted variation, and priority areas for development. This work will continue to be progressed nationally in 2025.
