81044 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Enhance current outreach immunisation service that is nationally consistent, regionally delivered, and effectively co-ordinated through national principles, to assist providers in prioritising high-risk groups to reduce inequity. This includes fully implementing the childhood immunisation prioritisation matrix' included on page 11 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand has implemented an immunisation health target operating model that integrates national, regional, and district level activity to improve immunisation coverage for children.
I am further advised that the operating model outlines the flow of information and decision making across national, regional, and district groups. These groups coordinate service delivery, and share knowledge and best practice across multi-disciplinary teams, including outreach immunisation services. In addition, options for further enhancing current service design and delivery have been developed, and implementation planning is underway.
